Verzenio (abemaciclib) is an oral targeted therapy used to treat hormone receptor (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative breast cancer in adults. It belongs to a class of drugs called CDK4/6 inhibitors (cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 inhibitors), which work by blocking enzymes that drive cancer cell growth and division.
